"Preparing food for guests has always been a stressful thing - feeling inadequate and fearing that the dishes wouldn't turn out. Posting recipes has been an exercise in the ultimate confrontation of this fear. Gratefully, the joy in figuring out how to make favorite dishes with healthier ingredients now exceeds the fear and I take courage in the idea that maybe I can help someone else do the same."

Wonderful Jane. I love your recipes. I also clicked on Dr. John talking about pasta expecting to see your beautiful face and great energy talking about carbs. I’d love to see you on Youtube!!
would you consider putting the nutrition info on your recipes? i’m diabetic and would love to see the carb and fiber info. of course i could plug all the ingredients into to lose it but i think a lot of other people would be interested in it also.
thanks for your articles and recipes. they are always great
Thank you for sharing your information for a better life! I’m wondering if you use a sweetener of any kind since you don’t consume sugar?
Hi Linda, Thank you so much for your comments! Sometimes I add a packet of stevia and cinnamon, which seems to work well for me and not produce cravings. I also like quinoa sweetened with chopped dates and walnuts. If you use the Trader Joes blueberry flax blend, it has 1 gram of sugar per tablespoon. This, along with the blueberries and milk seems to offer just enough sweetness. Another idea might be to blend some fruit in the blender and mix it into the quinoa. I haven’t tried this one yet :). Let me know what you discover!
